This draft describes how JoviNP handles personal data. It must be reviewed by counsel and aligned with applicable privacy laws before publication. A detailed internal data map is maintained separately.
Data minimization
We collect only what supports an education business: account identity (handled by our authentication provider), profile and preference data, learning activity, billing status (handled by our payment processor), and support communications. We never collect patient data, charts, images, patient contact information, or case attachments.
What we collect
- Account: username, email, and authentication metadata (via the auth provider; we never store passwords).
- Profile: display name, professional status, NP specialty, state(s) of practice, goals, and preferences you provide.
- Usage: lessons viewed, resources downloaded, events registered, and de-identified product analytics.
- Billing: subscription and purchase status from our payment processor. We never store full card numbers.
What we never collect
- Protected health information or any patient-identifying details.
- Patient charts, documents, images, or attachments.
- Government IDs or license numbers, unless a future, separately reviewed verification feature requires them.
Analytics
We use privacy-conscious analytics. We never send case-submission text, community content, application essays, billing details, or private notes to analytics tools.
Your rights
You may request data export, account deletion, marketing unsubscribe, consent withdrawal, and cookie preferences. Retention periods are documented internally and configurable.
